Industrial Systems Technology Instructor

Provide instruction in the theory and practical applications of Industrial Systems Technology. Organize and conduct classes using a variety of learning experiences and activities that include lecture and lab materials. Instructional duties include course design and development of lesson plans, instruction, assessment, and evaluation with efficient maintenance of classroom records. Must have computer knowledge and experience including the use of Microsoft Office software. Position may involve teaching traditional day and/or evening classes or online classes and may require travel to any of the satellite locations within the College's service area. Work experience to include competencies, skills and knowledge levels in the industrial systems technology instructional program.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field AND appropriate coursework related to course(s) taught AND related work experience
Three (3) years paid full-time, in-field work experience
Knowledge of Basic Electronics, Industrial Wiring, Motor Controls, VFDs, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Mechanics, PLCs, Instrumentation, Process Controls
Occupational experience must meet the current requirements of the appropriate licensing boards for the area of instruction.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Industrial Systems or other related programs from a regionally accredited institution
Teaching experience at the postsecondary level.
Salary/Benefits: Hourly rate. No benefits.

Minimum qualifications for this position will be determined by the teaching discipline and compliance with appropriate accrediting bodies. Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the course assigned.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
