Loan Operations Manager I

Position Title: Loan Operations Manager I
Reports To: Loan Operations Manager II
Direct Reports: Loan Operations Specialists, Loan Operations Coordinator(s)
Salary Grade: 17
Responsible for managing day-to-day activities of direct reports in LoanOperations and/or performs very complex, critical functions/tasks. Also acts as a resource for departmentregarding areas of expertise. Activitiesinvolve day-to-day capacity management of staff, resolution of procedural,regulatory, technical and employee issues. Assist senior manager with assigned projects and management ofnon-direct report staff as requested. Inaddition will assist with determining and implementing tactics based onstrategic direction provided.
College degree preferred but experience is the key qualification
Minimum 3 years experience managing direct reports in a Commercial and Consumer Loan Operations environment
In-depthknowledge of servicing Retail and Commercial loans including documentation andsystem support requirements
Knowledgeof federal and state regulatory requirements for Consumer and Commercial loanportfolios.
Experiencedteam-builder who is an organized self-starter able to take the initiative andcomplete tasks without constant oversight. Able to handle multiple tasks, andmeet tight deadlines.
Perform annual performance reviews along with an effective management plan consisting of goals for staff
Excellentproficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word and Excel)
Proficientknowledge of Commercial and Consumer LAS platforms
Participate in all required compliance training, including Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering training, as well as internal and external training programs, online training, meetings, and seminars/conferences, etc.
Responsible for tasks/functions assigned to team are executed in compliance to Bank policy, regulatory law, interbank Service Level Agreements and investor guidelines when applicable
Manage team and individual performance using production and quality control metrics to meet goals
Effectively engage account officers, credit specialists, credit policy officers, special asset officers, audit, collections, and compliance to resolve issues and clarify procedures
Assist in establishing and maintaining department policy and procedure manuals to accurately reflect processes and process controls
Perform annual performance evaluations. Coach, mentor and perform disciplinary action as required for direct reports.

Provide exceptional customer service by responding to business partner, account officer and external customer inquiries and requests in a timely manner with a sense of urgency and positive attitude
Model behaviors critical to bank's culture and adhere to corporate policies
Other duties as assigned

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
